1. Introducing Master Login Password

Easily login into your customer accounts from frontend with their email and a secure master password or by clicking a link in the admin customer section without knowing password. The password is defined and saved from backend system configuration..

2. Installation

  1. Extract Extension.
  2. Using your FTP client upload app, js, skin directories to your store root. This would not overwrite any files, just add the extension to its folder.
  3. That's all.

3. Configuration

Configuration options are available in administration panel: System --> Configuration --> OnlibeBizSoft --> Master Password.

  1. General Settings
    • Enable: Enable/Disable output on front-end
    • License Key: Extension license key
    • Password: The password which is used to login to customer account later on.
    • IP Addresses: IP addresses that the master password is allowed to login. Your can set a range of ip for example: 222.222.0.0-222.222.255.255

4. Master Password Usage

  1. Login to customer account from backend customer management
    • Login to your backend, navigate to Customers/ Manage Customers. Select a customer which you want to login and click on edit link. Here you will see the "Login as" button on the top right.

  2. Login to customer account from frontend login form
    • Access to My Account or Login link from frontend. On the login form, enter your customer email and master password that defined from backend system/configuration and login as usually.

5. Uninstallation

  1. If you require to disable the extension without removing it completely, go to System->Configuration->Advanced->Advanced->Disable Modules Output and disable the module OnlineBiz_MasterPassword. Also, the extension can be switched off following steps without deleting the files of the extension.
    • Login to your FTP, navigate to app/etc/modules/
    • Open the file OnlineBiz_MasterPassword.xml and change the following line:
      From
      <active>true</active>
      To
      <active>false</active>
    • Clear the cache under var/cache.

If you are unable to access the extension settings in the backend, please logout and login once and try again.
